There are many different approaches to counselling and I recognise many of the terms and descriptions can prove confusing, At the heart of my practise is a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space. I work from a person centred basis which means you are the most important person in the process and your views, feelings and experiences are all valid.

By using my Pluralistic training I can utilise different therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), collaborative goal setting, psychodynamic strategies and explorative questioning to tailor an approach that best fits your needs.

Counselling gives you the opportunity to talk through what is worrying you and strive for change. I, as the counsellor, am there to listen and provide a space for you to discover what matters in your life.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is very similar to counselling, helping those that want to make changes and address problems in their lives. It provides a safe and relaxing approach, offering suggestions to your subconscious. Many of our anxieties and self doubts come through lived experiences, yet as young beings we are born with little fear or worry.

By using progressive muscle relaxation, (PMR) and deepening techniques, hypnotherapy encourages your conscious mind to be relaxed and open to suggestions made through the process to your subconscious. Past positive attributes and behaviours can be reignited into your conscious mind.

Hypnotherapy is extremely relaxing and can have excellent results. In particular it is very effective with issues surrounding low confidence, self esteem and habit changes.

Hypnotherapy can also help weight loss and lifestyle changes by encouraging a more positive mindset.
